These are three postcards I just finished..In addition to the design being done with wool rovings, I have added some embroidery by hand and machine... as well as some beads. Landscapes seem to be a never ending source of Nature's beauty.

EMBELLISHER TIME AGAIN

I was asked to do a piece for a fund raising silent auction . This is what I chose to do. I was inspired by the delphiniums in my garden...


I used some wool rovings to create the basic shapes using my embellishing machine. then I went further with some detail using dozens of french knots. The cloisonne butterfly seemed to be the icing on the cake..I wanted the frame to blend with the piece and I tried to make it look old, so I crackled and sanded until my arm nearly fell off!!!!
I think I like it!
