I Love making Journals. This one I did with my Embellishing Machine using wool rovings. A bit of embroidery, beads and some Birch trees . Look closely there is a bird's nest with 3 turquoise eggs in it. Isn't it sweet. This one is going to a friend.. I hope she likes it..
These are wonderful, Maggie. Love the path -- feels like it leads me on a wonderful walk thru the woods. You do such lovely work with the roving -- and I love the Robin's egg blue eggs in the nest. Really a soothing scene.
ReplyDeleteHi Maggie,
ReplyDeleteWOW and WOW again, I shall never get to your standard on the Embellisher. I am going to a class and looking forward to it, so I can learn lots....I hope. Just love this Journal. lol Jan xx
Oh, yes! I could see the little bird's nests with the sweet little eggs in them! I had to click on the photos in order to see them, but all the beautiful details show up that way. Beautiful work, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteJust a note to thank you ladies for your sweet comments.I haven't done much with the embelisher lately and this piece brought me back.I was doing a lot of postcards using this technique and must do some more..I just got an order of curly rovings hand dyed by "Her Magesty Margo" so I must do something with those.
ReplyDeleteNow that summer is over and the weather here has been dreary with gray skies and rain I will spend more time in my studio..
Once again thank you so much for dropping by
xoxo
