This is my recent project on my Embellisher. It is the second journal cover made with this technique. The first one I used felt for the background and it ended up too thick. The background for this one is a lovely batik and although it was a bit on the lightweight side, I think it was a better choice. A few beads to represent bubbles and a grosgrain ribbon with a fish charm at the bottom makes a nice bookmark.
I'm really pleased with this one.
The first one I did will be turned into a small wallhanging.. Stay tuned.

ReplyDeleteNo I never seem to keep things for myself. Especially journals.. I have a whole drawer full given to me or purchased myself..., and they are too pretty to use!! hee hee, Oh I do use some, but very carefully!
I think I will make some to sell on Etsy and also the little shop in town... This machine is sooooo much fun, you would love itVBG

Thanks Phyl,,,It's my first STAB at it!! hee hee I caught someone going to throw away some bits and pieces the other day when some of us were to-gether sewing .I gathered up all that was going in the garbage... Honestly and here I am with a huge fabric stash, begging for pieces!!! I just can't stand waste.... well that's my excuse!;-}
Morning Dove... So happy you liked the piece... It is really so much fun to do. in fact when I get done with my emails I want to do something else! It took an evening to do , so it goes along quickly. The most time was spent looking for the darned fish fabric!!!!
