"THE MATRIARCH"
This piece was done for a challenge. The subject was a "tree", so I decided to do a Family Tree. It took quite awhile to finish,as it stands 7" tall and is 100% beaded. The faces I did using clay and a commercial mold, and then they were painted and sealed.
I was just thinking I should have used picture faces of the family... oh well....too late....sigh!
I sell a lot of my pieces but this one I shall keep...
I thought I would show you something other than Postcards for a change!

MEANWHILE BACK AT THE EMBELLISHER!....
this is what I was working on this afternoon titled "SUNRISE",,,,It is for another trade.. I never seem to be able to keep them..sigh...

HERE WE GO AGAIN!
As you already know I love making postcards. These are some postcards I did using fabric, lace, beads and sequins. i love the color purple.
The one with the animals I made using my embroidery machine. These represent some of the animals on Noah's Arc.
This one is going to a little 9 year old boy (in Wisconsin,USA) that is battling cancer, and keeps busy collecting postcards.
I hope he enjoys this one.
If you are interested in sending Connor a postcard email me for his address. The card can be a "normal" postcard and not necessarily a fabric one.

I really enjoyed making and beading these wee fairy shoes. The shoes are
made from cream colored Ultrasuede and lined(fairy feet are very delicate you know!)
Sequins,glass beads and mini pearls make them special. They will be worn by one of my fairy dolls which is in the making.The shoes are 3" long.....Can you imagine a fairy doing the "Light Fantastics"wearing them! ;-}

PLAYTIME!!!!

I have been working on an embellished piece for a gallery presentation.
The title is "Under The Sea" There will be fish added along with beading, and I have spent 3 hours making these wee felted balls,, which will be beaded and used as bobbles hanging along the lower edge.
The piece will be square up and put on a background.. Haven't figured that out yet...
My arms will be sore to-morrow hand felting the balls. The main piece was done on my Babylock Embellisher machine.

"Learn your ABC's "
This baby quilt will be for Alice a neighbour expecting their first baby next month. Alice is a kindergarten teacher so what better than an alphabet quilt!
I just finished the top to-day. Now I have to layer it and quilt it. I will show it finished when I get done. I had quite a time finding fabric to match the letters . Some of the impossible ones to find, I went online and found the pictures I needed and printed off my own fabric sheets..LOL

ANOTHER POSTCARD

This was my latest completed project...
another postcard for a trade.. Theme was
"Blue"and the title for this one is "Feeling Blue"
A collage of lace, metallic net, sequin fabric, and sequin stars, all under a layer of blue tulle. I used a rubber stamp for the face and the butterfly is a motif I did on my embroidery machine. It was fun to do and a nice change as I have been doing most of my cards on the Embellisher with the wool rovings..
