Ramblings and Updates
Hi everyone..
Well lots going on around here.. Some good , some not so good!!!
DH had his pacemaker replaced(4th time..... he now has Wing Commander Stripes!)
That went well.but..... this morning he went out to the garage and after awhile I heard what I thought was hammering? I decided to go see what he was up to.... he was not"up" he was down on the floor and couldn't get up. Door caught his slipper and tripped him and he went flying into my car! I was worried he might have pulled his stitches out... That part was OK.... He scraped his elbow, leg and the glasses cut his nose before they went flying!! Can you stand it!!!
He is OK now and has gone off shopping and to gas up my car.... I hesitated to let him go but he said he was OK... Fingers crossed.
MY...dilema was another nosebleed lastnight. I finally got it stopped but my nose feels one inch longer from pinching.YIKES! I was worried as the last one I had DH had to call 911 as I couldn't get it to stop! Thank goodness no rides in the big white truck with the flashing lights was needed! ha!!!!
Now a happy bit of news....
I thought I would show you my latest rug hooking effort...This one took awhile and I was not too pleased with the drawing so I changed it here and there. This was my 3rd large piece and I hope I am improving!

Right now I am learning to shade and my project is "iris" I will show it when I am done.
I am also working on a coup;e of beading pieces... Stay tuned..
"BUSY HANDS... HAPPY HEART"
It is a lovely mild sunny day and I hope to go for a walk..

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!
Spring must be on the way, the "Snowdrops" are up..... so delicate and so beautiful.
Hello dear friends... I have not posted for quite awhile but I HAVE been busy!
Here are some pictures of my activities and I hope you enjoy seeing them..

I am involved in the Yahoo group "Postcard Mail Art" These cards were made for a recent trade. The purple one is oriental called "Happiness" The green ones are for St Patrick's Day, and each
has a 4-leaf clover charm attatched.
The mystery card is one I am just working on using the wool rovings.. Not done yet... can you tel! VBG
The bag I made for a friend. We do traditional rug hooking to-gether and she needed a bag to carry her "stuff" I surprised her with this one for her birthday.

I finished the alphabet quilt I was making for a dear little girl that lives next door. I also made her a "Raggedy Ann" doll.. every little girl should have one...... It was for her first birthday... and here she is...."Grace" isn't she darling. I had the pleasure of keeping her one day and it sure brought back memories of how active they can be.... whew!

WINTER SKIES

I really enjoy doing these little works of art, and birch trees are my favorite... Can you tell???! VBG!
My method here is planning the scene with wool rovings, and wool felt, then....I punch the fibres in to the backing, applying embroidery and some beads along with a little bit of Angelina fibre to finish the scene.
Fabric Postcards are one way of satisfying your need to do something creative in a small way.
The finished piece really packs a punch I think. Hope you enjoy seeing them.
Soon I will have some in my Etsy Shop.
I have to bond with them for a little while before I can let them go.;-}

PROUD CANADIAN

Here are some pictures of the ice skating event. Hope you enjoy them

I have been enjoying the Winter Olympics on TV. My fave is the figure skating....
Tonight our Canadian team won the Ice dancing and received the "Gold" medal... I wouldn't be a proud Canadian if I wasn't excited about it.It is the first time Canada has won
gold in the ice dancing . The United States team won Silver and that was equally exciting as the two teams train to-gehter and are good friends. It was so exciting to see them on the podium along with the Russian pair who took the Bronze medal. All performances were exceptional..

Hi everyone...
Have you all recovered from the excitement of Lisa's One World One Heart event.????Wasn't that fun!
I met so many friendly people on my Magic Carpet ride. I hope to eventually visit each of you as time permits.
I have been quietly working away at various projects. The one I am posting to-day is a large tote bag, 24"x24" I made for a friend celebrating her 81st birthday. Should have had my camera with me, but I forgot it!! darn. Anyway we took "Lou" out for lunch and presented her with the bag. She Loved it .. It was a fun day..
Her is a picture of the bag.

FINALLY FINISHED

I was a member of Beaded Art Dolls when I started this doll. It was a challenge and buttons were to be used along with beads. I chose this Bendy doll form which is around 14 inches tall........bad choice as I never did get it finished in time for the competition. Anyway about 3 years later she is finished . I have spent hours here and there beading on her . I made her face from sculpy, painted it and then put a crackle finish on it. I think it gives it an aged look. Now that she is finished I think her weight went from a few ounces to 5 pounds with so many beads. I named her "Venus"....Godess of Beauty
