Crazy Patch Journal

Here ia a journal cover I did in Crazy Patch...The image is from Mind Wide Open, It was an enjoyable project but a bit labor intensive for a beginner like me!! I tried and tried to do some silk roses but they were not pretty, I nearly wore out the fabric, so I put a bow applique on the spot and added sequins to cover all the little needle holes....Yeah Sequins!!! I did manage to do an iris which ILOVE!!! so you may see a lot of it in various pieces....;-}

The cover to this journal was clear which I really paid no attention to until I placed it in the cover . At once I realized it needed to be lined... I will be aware of that the next time!!

Anyway I am pleased with the finished piece. I added a ribbon page keeper with a delicate butterfly attatched to it..

Very pretty! I really want to learn Crazy Quilting and I would be scared to do something like this first thing when learning. You are brave. Well, now it's a learning experience behind you. It looks very nice even if the silk roses gave you grief! :)

Hi TC
Thanks for coming to visit....
You know I got Judith Montanas CD and book on stitches...
I am working on a sampler to practice the stitches...
Practicing is necessary but when you are anxious to get along with it it is hard...sigh!!!
I really like crazy patch because it is so free and creative.......
