Let's Get Going!

Hi everyone...
Have you all recovered from the excitement of Lisa's One World One Heart event.????Wasn't that fun!

I met so many friendly people on my Magic Carpet ride. I hope to eventually visit each of you as time permits.

I have been quietly working away at various projects. The one I am posting to-day is a large tote bag, 24"x24" I made for a friend celebrating her 81st birthday. Should have had my camera with me, but I forgot it!! darn. Anyway we took "Lou" out for lunch and presented her with the bag. She Loved it .. It was a fun day..

Her is a picture of the bag.

Maggie I love the bag. The flower fabric is to die for. Do you know it's name and origin? I would love to get my paws on some! Sharon

Thanks to each of you for stopping by and leaving your sweet comments...
As most of you already know I love making bags.
This one was fun as I machine quilted it all around the flowers and then on the main part of the bag. The floral piece is one of a kind now.. I have a friend that is an interior designer and she gives me the books of fabrics that are out of date.That is where I got that fabric Sharon.. sorry... I just had enough so no leftovers to share..;-{

Lucky Lou :-)
What a great bag, Maggie -- I just love it.
My niece (only a few years younger than I am) has a huge bag she take EVERYWHERE - now, you must picture this -- Cindy is 4 ft. 8 inches tall -- really -- and this bag she carries is half as tall as she is -- she has knitting, crocheting, quilting projects in it just in case she has a spare minute -- then there is a huge camera, a small purse and her cell phone that is always finding it's way to the bottom of the bag. When she digs for the phone we are afraid she will get lost in the bag. She is a delight and I am lucky to have her close enough to share a few quilt shows, etc., with each year.
