EMBELLISHER TIME AGAIN
I was asked to do a piece for a fund raising silent auction . This is what I chose to do. I was inspired by the delphiniums in my garden...
I used some wool rovings to create the basic shapes using my embellishing machine. then I went further with some detail using dozens of french knots. The cloisonne butterfly seemed to be the icing on the cake..I wanted the frame to blend with the piece and I tried to make it look old, so I crackled and sanded until my arm nearly fell off!!!!
I think I like it!

Maggie, the piece came out beautifully - I love how the French knots add dimension & agree that the cloisonne butterfly puts the dot on the exlamation mark! lovely. :)

You do such beautiful work...a very generous offering as well. Did you make the frame? It is perfect.
